The site for Dr. Gail Nelson Bones was one that aimed to transition from old to new: new colors, new logo, new pictures, new content, new concepts, new presence, new blog, new book, new opportunities. You can see the old site here.
Featuring Pexeto‘s Acoustic Theme as the launching point, we created a logo, 10 pages/menus, gallery showcases, image galleries, music players (using SoundCloud), Twitter and Facebook widgets, a MailChimp signup form, and photo upload and event inquiry forms.
Also in the project was the task of importing posts from the old blog, updating their categories, creating featured images, and then plugging in the DISQUS Comment System and AddThis Social Sharing. Cart66 wrapped things up for online checkout.
In social media, we set her up on Linkedin, completed her Twitter profile and Facebook page (design and photos), created an About.me page for her (about.me/gailbones) and boosted 3 links in Google Search results using BrandYourself‘s free service. I also prepared her for more use on Pinterest and SoundCloud should she ever make the move.
The project was completed in November 2012.
